Carved septarian egg, from Madagascar, with a natural calcite druse. This piece shows the characteristic structure of septarian, with dark calcite veins delimiting areas of beige and brown tones. An internal cavity reveals a layer of small calcite crystals, distinctive of this type of geological formation.
