Material description:
Black obsidian is a volcanic rock formed by rapid cooling, valued for its deep dark colour and its glossy surface after polishing. In various ancient cultures, particularly in pre-Columbian civilisations, it has been symbolically associated with introspection and the unveiling of hidden aspects.
