This candle holder is made of steatite, also known as soapstone, a material prized for its softness and ease of manual carving. The piece comes from India, where artisans shape the stone with simple tools. The cylindrical shade features an openwork design that allows light to pass through, creating a particular effect when the candle is lit.
Available models:
Two models are offered. Model 1 features a distinctive carved pattern on the cylindrical shade, revealing a matte gray tone under the black finish. Model 2 maintains a more uniform black finish throughout the cylindrical shade, highlighting, however, the geometric openwork of the shade.

The pieces shown in the images are samples, and each unit may present variations in the tone, shading, and veining of the natural stone. It is possible to find small asymmetries or irregularities in the carving and finish, characteristics inherent to manual work. Steatite is a stone of considerable fragility, so it must be handled carefully.
