Material and artisanal technique:

Each incense holder is hand-carved from steatite, also known as soapstone, a material prized in India for its softness and workability. This allows artisans to create pieces with fine details and a smooth feel. Soapstone is a natural material that may exhibit variations in veining and tone.

Decorative motifs and meaning:

These incense holders feature esoteric motifs, engraved and hand-painted. The OM model symbolizes the divine and universal unity in Eastern traditions. The Eye model, often interpreted as the Eye of Providence or a protective talisman, is a symbol of observation and protection.
