This japa mala is made with spherical beads of natural moonstone, a variety of feldspar known for its characteristic soft glow and luminous reflections. Moonstone forms the complete base of the mala, providing a light and delicate appearance throughout its 108 beads.
Regularly interspersed, the natural stones related to the seven chakras introduce blocks of colour that contrast with the white tone of the moonstone. This arrangement creates a balanced visual sequence along the mala and allows each section to be easily identified during practice.
Main features:
Moonstone as the main stone
Moonstone belongs to the feldspar group and is characterised by an optical phenomenon known as adularescence, a soft glow that appears on the surface when light strikes the stone. This effect may appear as whitish or slightly bluish reflections that add luminosity and visual depth to the beads.
Use and symbolism of the set
The japa mala is traditionally used as a support tool for the recitation of mantras, meditation or concentration practices. In this model, moonstone provides a calm and balanced presence, while the stones of the seven chakras allow each energy centre to be consciously worked along the sequence.
Please note:
Moonstone and the chakra stones are natural materials and may present variations in brightness, transparency or intensity of the adularescence. The indicated measurements are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the bead size.
