These mala beads are made with round beads of natural larvikite interspersed with natural stones representative of the seven chakras. Along the 108 beads, the chakra stones are regularly distributed, creating a colour sequence that visually accompanies the full length of the mala over a continuous larvikite base.
Key features:
Larvikite as the base stone
Larvikite is an igneous rock with grey and dark tones, characterised by shimmering flashes and iridescent reflections on its surface when it catches the light. This optical effect, similar to that seen in labradorite, adds luminosity to the beads and causes the appearance of the mala beads to vary depending on the viewing angle and lighting.
Esoteric use and overall approach
Mala beads can be used as an accompanying object in practices of sustained attention, visual meditation or personal energetic work, where repeated contact with the beads helps maintain a steady rhythm and a tactile relationship with the piece. In this design, larvikite provides a sober and reflective presence, while the natural stones of the seven chakras, distributed along the entire mala, introduce contrasts of colour and meaning that allow each section of the strand to be experienced consciously.
Please note:
Larvikite and the chakra stones are natural materials and may present variations in colour, veining or intensity of the optical sheen depending on the piece. The indicated measurements are approximate and may vary slightly depending on bead size.
