Polishing and optical brilliance:
Each piece has been polished on one of its faces to intensify the characteristic optical effect of silver obsidian. This polishing allows the surface tone to vary between a deep black and an intense silver sheen, depending on the incidence of light. The side faces of the obsidian have a matte finish.
Shape of the pieces:
The pieces have varied dimensions. The polished face can be more triangular, similar to a heart, or more elongated, evoking a teardrop shape. All units have a flat base, and most of them may show a slight tilt, as seen in the reference images.
