Bicolour pink tourmaline in pegmatite matrix with mica sheets

This specimen comes from a Brazilian pegmatite and displays several well-defined pink tourmaline crystals naturally embedded in the matrix. Many of these crystals show subtle colour zoning, shifting from pink to bluish green at the tips, a common feature in tourmalines with variations in manganese, iron and lithium content.

The matrix consists mainly of white feldspar, within which discreet bluish tones can be seen, associated with small mineral aggregates characteristic of these formations. In various areas, muscovite mica sheets are also present, adding a soft, silvery, frost-like sheen to the surface.
