Natural amethyst geode from Brazil, with a pinkish mauve crystal cavity and a stable base prepared for display.
Main features:
Crystallization and morphology:
This specimen is characterized by a deep internal cavity with well-defined crystals in mauve and pinkish violet tones. On the contour of the cavity, sectors with whitish quartz and natural agate bands can be seen, delimiting the passage to the matrix. It also presents some white calcite crystals on the front of the cavity. Its vertical cut in chapel format provides a solid and vertical appearance suitable for display.
Structure and exterior preparation:
The posterior and inferior area has the usual reinforcement of mortar painted in a dark color, characteristic of geode preparation in Brazil. This coating levels the base to provide firm support and protects the geological structure without intervening in the crystallized interior.
To consider:
Unique piece. The exact specimen shown in the images will be sent. As it is an exterior covering of painted mortar, it may present small surface marks, chipped areas, scuffs or irregular texture in the external finish, aspects typical of the reinforcement work that do not compromise the crystalline cavity. The coin visible in one of the photographs is used only as a scale reference and is not part of the product.
