Apophyllite Druze on Basalt Base from India

A beautiful druze of green apophyllite with stilbite on a basalt matrix, featuring secondary microcrystallisation, possibly of other zeolites.

The secondary zeolites can be seen crystallised on the back of the piece, forming a vein embedded in the basalt matrix. Additionally, they appear as a fine coating on the larger crystals at the front, where they delicately adhere to the apophyllite and stilbite.

This specimen originates from India, specifically from the Maharashtra region.

The approximate dimensions of this druze are 14 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm, with a weight of around 2.39 kg.
