Genuine Carnelian Bracelet, Translucent Reddish Chalcedony

This elastic bracelet is composed of natural carnelian beads, a variety of chalcedony whose reddish to orange hue is due to the presence of iron oxides within its microcrystalline structure.

Carnelian is characterised by its soft transparency and vitreous lustre, with colours ranging from warm red to deep orange. It may feature subtle internal banding, formed by the rhythmic deposition of silica during its crystallisation.

Also known as carneol in certain traditional contexts, the term carnelian is currently the most widely used in mineralogy to refer to this reddish and luminous chalcedony.
