This beautiful artisanal tree is crafted with approximately 300 natural black obsidian chips. Its trunk, made of silver wire and coated to simulate the color of wood, sits on a natural wooden base adorned with small fragments of black obsidian.
With a height close to 25 cm and a base of about 6 cm in diameter, this tree reaches up to 18 cm in width when its branches are unfolded. Thanks to the generous quantity of 300 black obsidian chips, the branches of the tree appear fuller than in other similar trees with fewer chips.
Each chip is carefully set in the silver wire branches, guaranteeing its stability and preventing them from coming loose.
Black obsidian is of volcanic origin and is actually a type of natural glass that forms at very high temperatures. The Aztecs used obsidian to reveal hidden truths.
