Large Veined Tourmaline Tip

Large veined black tourmaline tip.

This magnificent piece of black tourmaline is carved in a pointed format with six asymmetric sides, it weighs about 1,670 kg and measures about 17 cm high, 11 cm long and 7.5 deep.

It comes from Brazil, from the mines of Ceará. Tourmaline from Ceará has a unique veining because it is formed in association with other minerals such as white quartz and red hematite. When polished, it has a nice appearance with white and reddish inclusions as if it had been scratched.
